A sneeze might seem small, but it’s surprisingly powerful! When you sneeze, air and tiny droplets shoot out of your nose and mouth at speeds up to 160 kilometers (100 miles) per hour. These droplets can travel as far as 6 to 8 meters (about 20–26 feet) and carry germs that can spread to others. That’s why covering your mouth and keeping a safe distance when someone sneezes is so important!
